FEEDBACK
week 4:
Sketch
Fig1.2
I redesigned a monster that was born from data but relies on human emotions for survival.I wanted to use blue and purple to highlight its non-human, data-like characteristics, but at the same time I wanted to give it some human characteristics, so I designed it into a human form and used green as another main color to represent life.
Fig1.3
Fig1.4
I want to design a stage for it, to put it in the spotlight, but because it's data, it's going to stay in the petri dish.Over the next week, I will continue to finalize the background design.week 5:
Background completion process
Fig2.2
I did some extensive shadow refinement and added a lot of bubbles and cracks to the petri dish, showing that this electronic butterfly could become a real creature at any time.

REFLECTION
Experience:Throughout the character, background and card design, I need to look for my inspiration. A book called "Android Dreams of Butterflies" inspired me, and I decided to create a monster called Electronic Butterfly.
I used the rectangle tool, ellipse tool, pen tool, gradient tool and so on to create the look it has.
Observations:Shadows are very important to the completion of the entire work. Both light source and shadow can greatly enhance the texture of the picture and the fineness of the background.
Findings:Creating and designing a complete character and the world view behind it is a complex task, and I need to consult a lot of information for this. But I find that I enjoy the process of creating a world in this way, and I like this kind of design with a high degree of freedom.
