Preparation
Before we started filming, the tarot card we drew from the professor was: Judgment.
"Judgment" is the 20th card in the Major Arcana, symbolizing awakening, rebirth, judgment and reflection. Keywords: rebirth, inner awakening, review of the past, redemption, final decision, reflection and progress.
Based on these keywords, I created the initial script, a story about a girl who longs to live her own life. However, it was too long, and one minute was not enough to tell the story, so we listened to the professor's advice and selected the "bad date" segment for filming and production.

After determining the storyboard and different shots, we began preparing for shooting.

We looked for many different scenes in the school, such as the end of the corridor (we gave up because the light was too glaring) and a high-rise overlooking the scene (but it didn’t fit the script). We shot each shot more than three times, hoping to find the most suitable material.
At the same time, we also invited friends to guest star in the extra characters in our script.

In terms of special effects, we chose two, one is the soul leaving the body, and the other is the petals falling. The soul leaving the body is used for the helplessness and distraction of the heroine when facing a bad blind date, and the petals falling are used when she is waiting for true love.
After learning how to create special effects based on the video, we also color corrected and fine-tuned the entire video to make it look smoother.

REFLECTION
Experiences:
In the final project, we went through the complete short film production process from proposal, reference search, script creation, actor search, field shooting, and post-production. Different from the division of labor in the previous task 2, this time I really experienced the work of everyone in the crew. It was a very novel experience.
Observations:
I found that filming is actually the easiest part of the production process, because as long as you have done everything in the preparation stage, the filming basically depends on the state of the actors. The most tedious part is the preparation work, you need to complete everything, the script, costumes, props, personnel preparation... If this is a commercial work, you even need to consider finding investors.
Findings:
This is a new challenge, and I am very lucky that my team members are happy to cooperate with me, and my friends are also willing to act as actors. This is a relaxed and humorous short film. Because of their company, I was very happy when designing and shooting. During the post-production, we also actively communicated with each other, and I am grateful to them.
