LECTURES
Week 2:30/09/2024
Lecture 2:
In this lesson, we first learned the basic elements of composition.
The basic elements are as follows:
1.Focal point
2.Scale & Hierarchy
3.Balance The Elements
4.White space
Fig1.1,the basic elements of composition
If you want your composition to be impressive, you need to let others see the focus of the picture and what the picture is about at a glance. The three-point composition method can perfectly take into account these two points.
We also introduced some similar cases.
Fig1.2,The Definition of Rule of Thirds
As an extremely critical point in image design, its function is to make the picture harmonious and beautiful, as well as more impactful.

FEEDBACK
Week 2:30/09/2024
Fig2.1,Diving in the mountains
This represents the simple fantasy of people in ancient times who wanted to explore the world. So I used the form of a collage to show such an uncanny picture, between the mountains, the human mind floats in the ocean, adventuring on both sides of the world.
Fig2.2,How can you assume that a bullpit doesn't want to explore the world?
I used the red paper as the background, plus the onlookers on the window, and the cows as the main body, trying to make them feel like they were rushing out of the paper. How can you assume that bullfighting doesn't want to explore the world? Because human beings can get all the spiritual support from bullfighting to venture out in the world.
Humanity, we, seem to have come to think that we can conquer this whole world, that we can go to every corner of the world and go on adventures. But remember, nature is watching you wherever you are – never lose your respect for nature.
Fig2.3,Nature is watching you
I try to use the leopard as the central fixation point of the whole picture, so that you can see its eyes directly and create a feeling of being watched. The figures are in front and above their heads, which expresses the fact that humans seem to conquer and venture everywhere, but still have a natural figure behind them.

REFLECTION
Experience:We created three collages by cutting out pictures and text from magazines. I chose one of them at the professor's suggestion and named it "Nature is watching you". In class, I put them together to form this picture.
Observations:Before cutting and pasting, you need to make sure you have completed the design, because the completion of a work is inseparable from the initial conception.
Findings:Seemingly unrelated graphics can create amazing pictures as long as you let your imagination run wild.
